Two Month Visit and Shots

Cooper received his 2 month shots today and did very well, considering. Tylenol has been working wonders! :-)

He weighed 10 lb 3.8 ounces and was 21.5 inches long! We are starting to notice how chubby his hands and neck are getting. The doctors say he is growing very well, and though he's only in the 10th percentile (due to his prematurity) he sure does seem like a big boy to me. That darn carseat is getting heavier every day! I know it will get worst, but I look forward to that because it means he's healthy.

First Sunday at Church, Meeting Cousins

Here are some pics of Cooper's first Sunday at GCC and meeting Cameron and Sydney Lewis, his cousins.

Cooper is 2 Months Old!

I can't believe he's already two months old. It has flown by so fast, and he's literally changed right before our eyes. His doctor's appointment is tomorrow and he gets his 2 month shots, so say a little prayer for mom and dad this weekend in case we have a cranky baby with a fever. I'm anxious to see how much he weighs now... I'll update and let you know!

First Birthday Party

Cooper's first birthday party was for Ben Huff. It was a super hero party, and Ben's Aunt Tammy made a little cape even for Cooper. He wore it almost all night and was a very good boy while we were there! Ben is the one in the picture above with the blue cape on, with his dad, Jason. His little brother Owen is in the black shirt in the other picture. All the kids looked so cute in their super hero capes!

Bright Eyed and Bushy Tailed

Cooper is getting more and more awake and alert. This morning he actually smiled at me when I was tickling him. He has moved into morning, afternoon, and evening naps, and is sleeping pretty good at night. I'm holding out for sleeping through the night very soon!

John Deere For Sterling Chase

I had to take pictures of this for Sterling. This is Cooper's plate, bowl, and cup on his highchair, when he's ready. It was given to him by the Mann family. I thought Sterling would get a kick out of looking at these from afar! Around fair time I'll take some pictures of him with his John Deere hat, Teddy Bear, and T-shirt.... typical Putnam County attire.

Swing Low

Cooper finally fits in his swing, sort of. No need to strap him in quite yet. He seems to enjoy it, for about 30 minutes, then he's ready for something else. Anyone know how to keep his hands from getting so cold while he's swinging? He doesn't seem to mine, but mommy does. He gets bigger every single day, people were so right when they said the time FLIES by.

Sleepy Head!

Here are some shots of Cooper sleeping... I can't seem to take enough of these. He's so innocent (and quiet!) when he sleeps. He actually sleeps really well, and always has for the most part. He He only wakes up once at night to eat, and he's stretching time between his feedings. He's a great baby, all in all!

Game Time

This outfit was given to Cooper when Karen Birt came to see him in the hospital. It's one of his favorites!

Cooper's Girlfriend

Cooper is already breaking hearts! This is Berkley, Meredith (Turner) and Tony Williams 4 month old. We've been waiting six weeks to get them side by side and introduce Cooper to his betrothed future wife. :-) Berkley was super excited to see Cooper... and Cooper was typical Cooper, just staring off into space. Can't wait until he starts to smile and interact, then put them together again to see their reactions to each other.

Doctor's Appointment

We went to see Dr. Essig today! Cooper weighs 8 lb 2 ounces, and was 21 inches long! Today was his due date, so he could have been one heck of a baby! We start his RSV shots this week, so wish us luck with that!

Luke Skywalker

The Huff's got Cooper this sleep sack for Christmas, and he loves it! It's so easy to change his diaper in the middle of the night. And, I think he looks like a Jedi when he wears it. I know someday when he's older he'll absolutely hate me for publishing pictures of him in a dress. :-)

Big Boy!

Here you can see Cooper modeling his big boy bibs he got from Grandma Lewis at his family shower. He's laying in his crib, looking at his mobile, which seems to captivate his attention. I just wish the silly thing would play for more than 30 seconds. I could get a lot more done.

We were approved for our RSV shot! It would have cost $1800 had insurance not covered us, but he qualified somehow so he'll be getting that soon. It is 95% affective against RSV, which could be fatal for him as a premie. We have our doctor's appointment tomorrow to see how much he weighs. He's having some stomach issues, so I'm pulling rank as mommy and we're going to rethink him having rice in every bottle. We'll see what they say!
