Here are Megan, Hannah, and Emily Dickey. Their mom, Courtney, watched Cooper in the spring and will watch him starting in the fall. This summer he's at Grandma Kathy's house. Cooper loves hanging with the Dickey's! Never a dull moment! These were taken on Memorial Day... we went to the Dickey's first, then to Tiffany and Toby Braeger's house to play with all of Cooper's new friends. Of course I forgot my camera, but it gives us the excuse to get together to get pics of all the kids, since they'll grow up together.

First Haircut
Cooper had his first haircut! Yes, the mohawk is offically gone. After his bath tonight, I noticed that we'd gone from fohawk to fullblown mohawk combover. I called to Brad to bring me scissors and the camera, because we were giving Cooper his first unoffical haircut. You can see how curly it is in the bag, and that's what it was starting to do on his head. :-) By the way, Brad had curly blonde hair when he was a baby until his dad shaved his head at the age of 3 and it came back dark and straight. Cooper definitely has Brad's curly hair and the texture and color of mine. Someday we'll have pictures of his first REAL haircut, but until then it's mom the beautician.

Jungle Jumper, New Sunglasses
We got this jumper at one of our showers from Erin Miller, a.k.a. Aunt Erin. He's just barely tall enough to reach the floor. We pretty much have to stay with him because his little legs will turn purple since his little toes just scrape the carpet. But he's absolutely glued to the little monkey that makes noise, and zones out once you put him in it. I call it my new babysitter that I don't have to pay. :-)
Everytime we go outside, Cooper squints and won't open his eyes because of the sun. So, we found these adorable sunglasses that strap onto his head that fit him! He doesn't mind them at all, and now he smiles and laughs when we're outside because he can actually see. We also got matching crocs (or knockoff crocs). Hope the weather gets better and his cold goes away so I can post more outside pics of the whole family!
First Foods, Job Update
Cooper has been eating rice cereal for one week now. These are pictures of our first adventure with a spoon. He did relatively well, though very messy! We've been adding juice to it to add flavor, because after tasting the paste like substance I felt sorry for the boy. :-) We'll be trying veggies and fruits within the next couple of weeks!!
Update on my job.... I will not be working at IU Medical Center. Instead I have accepted a job as an independent consultant for a company in Terre Haute 3 days per week. I will be assisting the company in preparing for and passing accreditation next spring sometime. Thanks for your prayers! We really feel this will lead to bigger and better things, and while I'm sad to leave Ivy Tech after four years of teaching, I know that my time there is done.
