The Bumbo and Toes

Cooper loves to sit in his bumbo and watch us cook. It was also a great way for him to discover his toes. He's always trying to grab them and get them up to his mouth, but his legs aren't quite long enough and his belly gets in the way. He's about as flexible as his father, I'm afraid.

But in the Bumbo, all is well! He can reach his toes, as you can see, and is very intent on figuring out exactly what they are and why they are there.

Bath Seat, Dixie Chopper, and Aunt Brooke!

Cooper had his first official Dixie Chopper ride. He loves to be outside and on anything that moves. Tractors, lawn mowers, four wheelers, whatever... I have a feeling next year he will be living outside! He even steered the Dixie Chopper all by his lonesome. He was not happy when I took him off dad's lap!

We finally got a bath seat from Babies R Us (thanks Lindsay Birt)! The first try was a bit rough, but Cooper is getting stronger at sitting up, so we've almost got this thing figured out. All he wants to do is eat the bubbles or whatever he can get into his mouth, so we now have bath toys to divert his attention. He loves water, and loves the bubbles in his bath, but most of all he loves his bath toys. When I stand up to get his towel, he starts to pucker up and cry because he knows bathtime is over. So cute!

Here is Cooper at Clint and Brittany's wedding. He did so good the whole time. He watched the first part, and slept for the rest. He was the hit of the party, aside from the beautiful bride and handsome groom! :-) He was very cooperative at the reception and danced with mommy on the dance floor.
Brooke stayed with us while mom and dad were in Kentucky on the Cumberland Mountain Outreach mission trip with the junior high kids from GCC. This was the first time since they've been going that Brad and I were unable to go, thanks in part to a certain little someone's inability to ride in a car! :-) Anyway, Brooke stayed with us. Cooper LOVES his Aunt Brooke and lights up whenever she talks to him. Here they were watching TV right before bedtime. It's one of Cooper's new favorite past times. Time to break out the Baby Einstein videos. He also likes to watch whatever you are doing on the computer and type with his toes.

Fun in Worthington

Our friend, Dena Benham Martin, won the republican primary for superior court judge of Greene County, so we had a celebration in the park! The kids had so much fun, and Cooper was really good the whole time. He got to hang out with his new friends and fell asleep on our friend Misty. Brad and Cooper are on the teeter totter with Misty and her son Zach. The little girl with the popsicle is Ande, Dena's youngest, and the little girl on the swing is Leah, Cathy's granddaughter.

Water Baby

Fun at Grandma and Grandpa's pool! Cooper really liked the water, and did well in his floaty. Maybe he'll be a swimmer like Uncle Nathan! Who knows?

Father's Day Fun

We took my dad to Hill Top Restaurant in Spencer for Father's Day. It was great to have the whole family together, even though it only happens twice a year! Then we went to my parents house and Cooper got to swim for the first time (previous post). It was a great day! Brad took his dad and grandpa golfing on Saturday, and later Sunday night we went and played the Wii at his parents house. It was an exhausting day, but a great day! Cooper also had baby dedication that day at GCC, and did so well! I have no pictures of that, because I left my camera upstairs in the diaper bag in the nursery. Go figure!

This was on the way home from Hill Top. Cooper was sucha good boy all day! He had fun with lots of cousins, aunts, uncles, grandmas, grandpas, and most importantly, daddy!

Sports Fan

Cooper's room is decorated in a sports theme. He is predestined to play something, we're just not sure if it will be football, soccer, baseball, or all of the above. He loves these balls I bought for his crib... for decoration, of course, they don't stay in his crib while he sleeps. He has also discovered rolling over in his crib, the only problem is he rolls over onto his back and can't get back over, so Brad and I alternate nights and turn him back over 2-3 times per night. The next picture Brad says he's calling his sports agent to tell them he'd consider playing for the Colts if mom and dad can have permanent suite seats, and Superbowl tickets every year. :-)

Fun at Target and Fun outside!

Here are some random shots we took. We went to Target at found a Bumbo finally, only to be disappointed that it couldn't go in the tub. So I'm on a mission to get a bath seat that he can sit in. The sombrero-type hat was just too cute and had to be a part of the picture! Then Cooper went for a four wheeler ride with dad. He focused really hard and didn't smile the whole time, until he stopped. Of course, Brad basically crawled 10 feet one way, 10 feet the other, but it was still his first ride! Cooper also loves his swing, and I'm sure you'll see many pictures of the swing in the coming months. He just laughs for the first five minutes, then falls asleep right away and will sleep until you stop him. He loves to be outside so much, when we go inside he starts fussing and lunging towards the door. He's definitely an outside boy!
